MISSING TYGER!

the missing tiger

"The only memorial to Blake In London at present IS a mural by the painter Stan Peskett....As a child, Blake had a vision of angels playing in the branches of a tree on Peckham Rye with an Arcadian sunset bursting behind them...."
The Times. Thursday. May 12 1994

The Tyger who has graced the wall at Goose Green is now extinct. His disappearance has met with a stunning silence. What has happened? Who is responsible? Can anyone help us with our enquiries?

Will you help us find him?
If he is not found, a work of art created by the Community for the Community has been lost forever. Many people gave generously of their time, skills, services, materials and money; when costed out on a commercial basis the Vision of Angels would have cost just over £50,000!

"Tyger/ Tyger burning bright
In the forests of the night
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thy eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the Fire?'"
